Please be advised that the union representing some 2400 VIA Rail employees issued a strike notice to take effect on July 11 2022 at 8 pm.

19 hours agoPeople who use VIA Rail could experience some delays later on today due to a possible workers strike. 17 hours agoThe strike deadline has been extended to 4 pm. A strike would affect VIA Rails service in Ottawa with eight daily weekday trains to and from Toronto and another five to and from Montreal.
